Art Gallery
Travel is a huge inspiration to Julie who paints original watercolours inspired by the world we live in.
Julie has been represented by the Swedish art gallery, The Ode To and produced four unique collections amounting to over forty works of art for them over the last three years. She has sold work across the globe and has been represented in a number of independent artisan shops in the UK, including on the Isle of Man and in Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds.
As a frequent visitor to places of natural beauty, Julie enjoys translating the light, weather, seasons and mood of a terrain into paint. Deep auburns, plums and ambers evoke the shades of autumn; pastel tones mimic the early morning fog of summertime and the cacophony of colour of many of her pieces bespeak dreamlike places. The world we live in is a beautiful place full of topographical nuances, seasonal idiosyncrasies, ephemeral moments and the daily rhythms of night and day. These natural patterns create dramatic colour stories, cast different shadows and evoke different moods. This is what Julie seeks to capture in her paintings.
